A HISTORIC LOCATION ON LAKE COMO
The pizzeria is located right on the road that leads from the lake to San Martino, the historic church on the mountain above Griante.
It is worth visiting just to see the medieval architecture. Legend has it that this building was one of the four towers of the Castle of Griante, which in 1525 was attacked and burned by the Comaschi di Como, on this occasion Giovanni called “Il Matto di Bigio” was imprisoned and beheaded in the court in front of the castle.
The Old Tower with the passing of the years became a farmhouse with stable and barn, it always had the characteristic of the old medieval windows. Transformed into a tavern in the 70s, today it is a real pizzeria, snack bar!
